The Jim Eaton Summer Reading Camp is sponsored by Grace Episcopal Church, in Lockport, NY a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York, initially developed as an outreach by the Bishop’s Commission for Healing the Systems of Poverty in Western New York.
Eaton Camp is a non-religious Summer Reading Camp for all children who are rising to Kindergarten through 2nd grade in Fall of 2018. Older primary grade children who have IEP’s may also be considered for this program. Our focus is to support and build the literacy skills of young readers to ensure that they may read at grade level by the fourth grade.
The Summer Reading Camp is a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church, toward Enriching Grace of children and their families in Western New York. Children who learn to read at grade level by fourth grade will have the skills for “reading to learn” for academic success
